How Long Has It Been? |

I have stopped counting, but I think it has been more than 10 years now. Scott and I met while working together ages ago and we became friends after Scott asked for my phone number (twice). Let us not forget that Scott had failed to tell me that he was already dating someone else. Needless to say we still became good friends instead of dating. Good thing I guess, because neither of us were mature enough to maintain a relationship with one another and we both believe that it would have ended in disaster and definitely wouldn't have developed to where we are today. Through the years we have had ups and downs, personal and family challenges and even a non-speaking hiatus of 3 years. Through all of that we have grown as individuals and finally as a couple. On New Year's Eve 2009, Scott proposed at Zoo Lights in Phoenix, AZ. Followed by a low-key dinner at the good ol' IHOP (hey...what else is open at 10pm on New Year's Eve that you can take a toddler to?) And who doesn't love breakfast for dinner???!!! (insert inside joke and forshadowing to reception here) We are so thankful for each other and our families that support us, as we make this huge step together.
